Once an application is filed, HPC can handle substantive prosecution before the USPTO, including Office Action responses, examiner interviews, after-final work, appeals, restriction requirements, Information Disclosure Statements (IDSs), and related prosecution services. Work can be undertaken directly for an applicant or as discrete overflow support for a patent professional or firm.

Substantive response preparation
For a standard Office Action—the examiner’s written statement of rejections, objections, and other issues—HPC evaluates the examination record and prepares the substantive response. An examiner interview reasonably associated with preparing the response is included when appropriate.

Important: If, after HPC's initial review and before response preparation, the client decides to abandon the application, a reduced fee applies rather than the full response fee. The reduced abandonment fee is not a standalone Office Action analysis price. If analysis or strategy itself is requested from the outset, the consulting rate applies instead.
Appeals
Pre-appeal and appeal work
HPC can assist from the Notice of Appeal through a Pre-Appeal Brief Request, Appeal Brief, and Reply Brief, with credit for earlier work when it materially carries forward.

Allowance & routine procedural work
For an application actively prosecuted by HPC, ordinary Notice of Allowance review and routine issue-fee processing are generally included rather than treated as a new professional-fee event. New substantive post-allowance work is separately scoped when needed.
Already have the response, amendment, or appeal paper substantially prepared?
You may not need full substantive prosecution service. HPC also offers practitioner-level filing support and substantive U.S.-practice review for prosecution work prepared by a law firm, foreign associate, applicant, or other authorized source.
